Founded in 1999 in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, Cadre5 provides innovative technical solutions to our customers locally and nationally. Our Cadre5 Lab Partners division has partnered with Y-12 National Security Complex to recruit a Software Engineer with an active Department of Energy "Q" clearance. A “Top Secret (TS)” Department of Defense clearance will also suffice
The Y‑12 National Security Complex is a premier manufacturing facility dedicated to making our nation and the world a safer place and plays a vital role in the Department of Energy’s Nuclear Security Enterprise. Y‑12 helps ensure a safe and effective U.S. nuclear weapons deterrent. Y‑12 has evolved to become the complex the nation looks to for support in protecting America's future, developing innovative solutions in manufacturing technologies, prototyping, safeguards and security, technical computing and environmental stewardship.
This is a contract position that requires on-site work at Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. Must be local and reside within driving distance to NHC Y-12 (travel to the site is non-reimbursable)
Job Responsibilities:
  • Create documentation and revise as appropriate
  • Provide programming support for CAD/CAM, PLM, PDM, xBOM system integrations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Attend meetings
  • Customize CAD/CAM/PLM/PDM software to fit specific organizational needs through scripting or programming.
  • Customize interfaces and functionalities to enhance user experience and efficiency.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field and 5 to 10 years of related experience or Associates degree in a technical field and 10 to 15 years of related experience
  • Strong scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide API, Jelly, AngularJS, or equivalent).
  • Experience customizing CAD/CAM/PLM/PDM software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Effective communication skills and demonstrated success in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • C, C++, C#, or Java programming experience.
  • Experience with version control tools such as GIT, SVN, or other code repositories.
  • Experience working with relational databases and proficient in SQL.
  • This position requires and an active Department of Energy "Q" clearance. A “Top Secret (TS)” Department of Defense clearance will also suffice. This requires US Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a technical field and 10 to 15 years of related experience or Associates degree in a technical field and 15 to 20 years of related experience.
