Job Title

About Your Role
Clover, a Fiserv company, is a global leader in point-of-sale platforms powering millions of small businesses with integrated hardware, software, and developer SDKs. In this role, you will join the SETI (Software Engineering for Test Infrastructure) team to drive quality and automation across our custom 40+ robot automation lab, Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and multi-language SDKs. You will lead test strategy, build automation frameworks, and ensure third-party integrators have a highly reliable, resilient platform for payment processing.
What You'll Do
  • Design, write, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and automated suites for complex Android applications, REST APIs, and Clover SDK integration layers.
  • Develop and maintain robust, scalable automated test scripts and framework components using UIAutomator, Espresso, Java, and Python to interface with our custom robot automation lab.
  • Diagnose, isolate, and debug intermittent failures and regressions across a multi-tiered infrastructure (hardware, OS, SDKs, APIs, and network protocols).
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain Jenkins pipelines to automate regression suites, smoke testing, and release gating protocols.
  • Partner closely with Development, Product, and Hardware teams to scope features, define non-functional requirements, identify test coverage gaps, and influence design for testability.
  • File high-quality defect reports using Jira, tracking issues through resolution and conducting post-mortem analysis to prevent future leakage.
  • Provide technical direction and code review support to distributed quality and development teams to elevate overall automation standards.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience You'll Need to Have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 6-10 years of progressive experience in Software Quality Engineering, SDET, or Software Development roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and extending test automation frameworks using Object-Oriented languages (Java, Python, or C#).
  • Proven proficiency with Android OS testing (adb debugging, logcat analysis, Android Studio) and RESTful API testing.
  • Solid experience configuring and utilizing Jenkins pipelines, shell scripting (Bash), and version control systems (Git).
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (MySQL) and Linux/Unix environments via SSH for log extraction and backend validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize complex tasks, troubleshoot intricate systems, and deliver reliable results in a fast-paced environment.

Experience That Would Be Great to Have
  • Deep experience with mobile UI test frameworks such as UIAutomator, Espresso, or Appium.
  • Hands-on experience testing point-of-sale (POS) hardware, mobile payment flows, terminal SDKs, or EMV/PCI transaction architectures.
  • Familiarity testing across multi-protocol interfaces (WebSockets, REST, USB, Bluetooth, or Cloud bridges).
  • Proficiency with Groovy, Ruby, or JavaScript for build automation and test harness extensions.

How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Benefits at Fiserv:
  • Fuel Your Life program to support your physical, financial, social, and emotional well-being
  • Paid holidays and generous time away policies
  • No-cost mental health support through Employee Assistance Programs
  • Living Proof program to recognize your peers' extra effort with points redeemable for rewards
  • Eight Employee Resource Groups to foster a collaborative culture and expand your network
  • Unparalleled professional growth with training, development, and internal mobility opportunities
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options available from day one
  • Retirement planning and discounted shares with the Employee Stock Purchase Plan
  • Tuition assistance and reimbursement program
  • Paid parental, caregiver, and military leave
