Une grande partie du travail se concentre sur des outils destines aux artistes, des pipelines de production a grande echelle, des workflows de simulation et de rendu, ainsi que des systemes devant fonctionner de maniere fiable au sein d'equipes distribuees.

Core Services recherche un developpeur logiciel associe pour rejoindre son domaine Data Frameworks.

Le groupe Core Services fournit des technologies fondamentales aux autres equipes technologiques de DNEG. Nous sommes une equipe de developpeurs logiciels qui concoit, construit et maintient une infrastructure critique a l'echelle de l'entreprise, distribuee geographiquement. Nous creons des services, des frameworks et des produits sur lesquels les autres equipes s'appuient pour concevoir et livrer leurs solutions technologiques. Le domaine Data Frameworks au sein de Core Services fournit des logiciels fondamentaux aux autres equipes, destines a etre utilises pour offrir des fonctionnalites aux utilisateurs finaux.
Nous proposons des couches d'abstraction des modeles de donnees des bases de donnees centrales, utilisees a travers differents produits, ainsi que des bibliotheques et frameworks d'automatisation pour aider les developpeurs a creer des automatisations coherentes.

En tant que developpeur logiciel associe au sein du domaine Data Frameworks, vous travaillerez aux cotes de nos developpeurs seniors pour developper de nouvelles fonctionnalites, resoudre les problemes remontes par les autres equipes technologiques et maintenir les produits logiciels existants tout au long de leur cycle de mise a jour annuel.

Vous serez amene a :
  • Resoudre les tickets lies aux logiciels geres par Data Frameworks
  • Fournir des mises a jour regulieres sur l'avancement des tickets
  • Effectuer des taches de maintenance sur les produits logiciels existants, telles que la mise a jour des dependances tierces
  • Developper des ameliorations incrementales sous la supervision de developpeurs seniors
  • Rediger la documentation des logiciels developpes et creer / mettre a jour des guides de depannage

  • Experience en programmation Python

Veuillez noter qu'il s'agit d'un poste syndique qui sera couvert par une convention collective entre DNEG et l'IATSE dans les prochains mois. En tant qu'employe syndique, vous devrez adherer au syndicat et beneficierez des conditions definies dans la convention collective. La fourchette salariale de base pour ce poste a temps plein est de 60 000 $ CAD a 71 000 $ CAD. Les fourchettes salariales chez DNEG sont determinees en fonction du poste, du departement, du niveau et de la localisation. La remuneration individuelle au sein de cette fourchette depend des competences transferables ou liees au poste ainsi que de l'experience professionnelle. Les fourchettes salariales sont ajustees periodiquement en fonction des donnees du marche externe recueillies via des etudes realisees par des tiers.

DDU (DNEG Dedicated Unit) operates within BRAHMA AI and works closely with DNEG to develop technology used directly in production.
The team builds tools, platforms and workflows that support VFX and Feature Animation pipelines across DNEG's global studios.

Much of the work focuses on artist-facing tools, large production pipelines, simulation and rendering workflows, and systems that need to run reliably across distributed teams.

Core Services is looking for an Associate Software Developer to join its Data Frameworks domain.

The Core Services group provides foundational technologies to other technology groups within DNEG. We are a team of software developers who architect, build and provide geographically spread, enterprise-level, mission-critical infrastructure. We create services, frameworks, and products that other teams rely upon to build and deliver their technology solutions. We are the core of all things technology at DNEG.
The Data Frameworks domain in Core Services provides foundational software to other teams that are intended to be utilized to provide end-user functionality. We provide abstraction layers to the core database's data models that are utilized across various products, and automation libraries and frameworks to assist software developers in creating consistent automation.
As an Associate Software Developer in the Data Frameworks domain, you will work alongside our senior developers in developing new features, troubleshooting issues raised by other technology teams, and maintaining existing software products through their annual update cycle.

You will:
  • Troubleshoot tickets related to software owned by Data Frameworks.
  • Provide timely updates on tickets.
  • Perform maintenance tasks for existing software products, such as updating third party dependencies.
  • Develop incremental product enhancements under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Write documentation for developed software, create / update troubleshooting playbooks.

Must Have
  • Programming experience in Python.

Please note that this is a unionized position and will be covered by a collective agreement between DNEG and IATSE, in the coming months. As a unionized employee, you will be required to join the union and will benefit from the conditions set out in the collective agreement. Union dues will be required once the collective agreement is in place.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 CAD to $71,000 CAD. DNEG salary ranges are determined by function, department, level, and location. An individual's pay within a given range is determined by their transferrable or job-related skills and work experience. Salary ranges are modified from time to time based on external market data collected through our third-party surveys.
