Junior Electrical Designer / Electrical EngineerJob Summary

A growing manufacturer of critical power and electrical distribution equipment is seeking a Junior Electrical Designer / Electrical Engineer to join its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience designing electrical systems, switchgear assemblies, and control panel solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and designers while developing technical skills in electrical design, manufacturing, and power distribution systems.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of low-voltage switchgear assemblies, replacement breakers, and related electrical equipment.
  • Create and update electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and terminal block drawings.
  • Support engineering change orders (ECOs) and revise drawings as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to ensure designs are accurately implemented.
  • Assist with component selection and electrical design calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Help troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing and production.
  • Maintain accurate revision control and engineering documentation.
  • Follow company drafting standards and industry best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Design Technology, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of electrical design, drafting, internship, co-op, or relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or similar CAD software is a plus.
