Job description

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, LLC office in Raleigh, NC.

Responsible for implementation of resource models and scalable APIs that serve as the foundational control plane for the Hybrid Cloud Console and ISV partner integrations. Lead the end-to- end development of new user-facing features and platform enhancements for global SaaS offerings, focusing on original feature creation within an agile lifecycle.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and deploy standardized host servers that act as a secure bridge between local data tools and AI clients, ensuring real-time interoperability and modular system expansion.
  • Integrate intelligent automation and AI-driven workflows into the platform to enhance user experience and automate complex data analysis through advanced model context management.
  • Build and secure cloud services using containerization and modern deployment technologies, focusing on high-level orchestration within identity and access management frameworks.
  • Conduct high-level code reviews of complex pull requests to ensure long-term platform stability, security, and alignment with global engineering standards.
  • Establish a common integration fabric that allows disparate products and managed services to be plugged into a unified control plane, ensuring seamless data flow across the ecosystem.
  • Implement complex, responsive user-facing features for SaaS offerings using modern design patterns and advanced component libraries to ensure high-performance, accessible, and scalable platform interfaces.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
  • Must have two (2) years of experience with: writing production-level code; developing full-stack web applications (front-end and back-end web applications); identifying and fixing software bugs; SQL databases; working with Python web development frameworks including Django or Flask; working and developing REST API interfaces; building front-end user experiences with web development frameworks; testing software by writing unit-tests; agile software development practices and issue tracking systems including Jira or Github Issues; and pair-programming and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Must have one (1) year of experience with: working with JavaScript or Python programming language; working with Git and GitHub; managing software deployment with Red Hat OpenShift; building and distributing RHEL based containerized applications with Docker or Podman; building and managing AI-enabled applications; debugging production software issues using Kibana, Grafana and AWS Cloudwatch; and debugging SQL database issues and performing database migrations.

The salary range for this position is $96,440 - $154,190/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
