Job Description
CRB is seeking a talented and motivated Control System Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of complex and technically sophisticated automated control systems. You will work collaboratively under the guidance of a Project Manager and potentially a Lead or Senior Control Systems Developer to deliver high-quality solutions for our clients.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of a rapidly growing and innovative business. As we expand our capabilities and reach, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact and grow alongside a forward-thinking team. While this position can be based at any CRB office across the U.S., we are especially interested in candidates located in or near Kansas City, Omaha, or St. Louis.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, program, and implement automated control systems for a variety of industrial applications.
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot PC/PLC hardware, software, and customer networks.
  • Support system installation and commissioning at client sites.
  • Provide in-house and on-site training for customer operators.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information.
  • Deliver occasional after-hours support as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, partners, and clients in a team-oriented environment.
  • Travel up to 35% for system installations and plant start-ups, including potential overnight shifts.
  • Maintain a regular in-office presence.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Computer Studies; Instrumentation and Controls; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple concurrent projects
  • Passionate about problem solving and developing solutions
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite required
  • Excellent organizational skills and mechanical inclination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
