Certified Respiratory Therapist

Laredo, TX, United States

Pay Range: $20.78-$38.00

Sign on Bonus: $25K Bonus (3 increments)

Join our Team! We are currently hiring a Respiratory Therapist Registered to become part of our dynamic team reporting to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services. The Hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for eligible applicants! Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:

Under supervision of the shift supervisors, plans and implements all therapy, respiratory medication "outside of scope of practice to administer IV/ACLS medications", and diagnostic modes to all assigned patients. Provides all required documentation and maintains appropriate internal records. Performs supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the shift supervisor according to policy. Ensures the LMC values are reflected in all aspects of the operation.

Applicants Job Requirements Include:

  • Required: Associates in Respiratory Science as a minimum
  • Required: Able to perform respiratory modalities and function well in ICU, NICU, and Emergency room settings.
  • Required: Must be RRT or eligible as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 2 years of taking this position.
  • Required: Must have passed the NBRC exam to be registered.
  • Required: Current BLS within 30 days from hire.
  • ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required within 6 months of hire.

Education: Associates or better

Experience: 1 to 2 Years

Licenses & Certifications:

  • C-AHA PALS
  • C-AHA ACLS
  • C-AHA BLS Basic Cardiac
  • L-TX-Respirat Care Pract
  • C-AHA/AAP-NRP
