Job description

Position Summary:
The Sales Associate’s duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their product/service needs, answer product questions and recommend the solutions. Our ideal candidate is able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Sales Associate, you must stay up to date with product features and promotions.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assess customer needs and aid and information on product features
  • Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
  • “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
  • Actively seek out customers in store
  • Remain knowledgeable on Russo products/services offered and discuss appropriate options
  • Process POS (point of sale) purchases
  • Cross-sell products
  • Collaborate with co-workers to ensure supreme customer service
  • Build productive and trusting relationships with customers
  • Comply with inventory control procedures
  • Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, turning over showroom floor etc.)
  • Other tasks assigned by management

Credentials and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous sales experience preferred
  • Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Associate, Sales Representative or similar role


Physical Demands

  • Employee must possess the ability to lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing between 40-50lbs
  • Required to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach and climb to perform work
  • May be required to stand, walk and use hands-fingers for long periods of time
  • May be required to look at a computer screen for long periods of time
