Sr. Associate, Business Development - Hotel Connectivity Account Manager

The Connectivity Account Manager role will own a portfolio of hotel connectivity partners, serving as the primary point of contact for both their technical health and commercial strategy. The majority of your focus is on operational tasks, including troubleshooting critical integration issues, monitoring supplier technical performance metrics like latency and uptime, and building/maintaining dashboards and alerts. The remaining time is dedicated to strategic account management, where you will analyze opportunities for content quality improvements and own the connectivity feature roadmap by translating partner pain points into clear product requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Integration, Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Support the end-to-end onboarding, certification, and rollout of new connectivity partners and features.

  • Monitor supplier technical performance proactively, including availability, latency, uptime, and booking/cancellation success.

  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and report integration issues, acting as the primary escalation point for partner integration issues.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and alerts to detect issues early and reduce time to resolution.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Account Management & Commercial Growth

  • Own a portfolio of hotel connectivity partners, serving as their primary point of contact for both technical health and commercial strategy.

  • Identify opportunities within your portfolio, driving content quality improvements.

  • Own and maintain a connectivity feature roadmap, translating partner pain points into clear product requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong technical knowledge of hotel supply partners' APIs and connectivity protocols

  • Extensive experience working cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams to build programs that meet and exceed expectations

  • Technical fluency to work effectively with engineers to assess, integrate, and manage third-party APIs, especially CRS's and other direct connections

  • Proven success building dashboards, analyzing data, drawing accurate conclusions, and adjusting strategy or priorities accordingly

  • Strong relationship management skills to build and nurture transparent, mutually beneficial collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

  • Aptitude to challenge the status quo and devise creative solutions that can encompass both legacy standards and emerging technologies

  • Exceptional ability to grasp, manage, and articulate complex systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • A creative and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving

  • Strong time management and prioritization abilities

  • Excellent judgment and the confidence to make important trade-offs under pressure

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to build and interpret dashboards; proficiency in SQL and visualization tools is required

  • Ability to navigate technical conversations confidently and translate complex considerations between technical and business teams

  • Strong commercial instincts with experience identifying growth opportunities and influencing product roadmaps

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in technical account management, partner success, or sales engineering in the travel tech, Online Travel Agencies, or hospitality industry

  • At least 1 year of experience in hotel distribution, revenue management, or eCommerce within the hotel or travel industry

  • At least 1 year of experience with Synxis, Dhisco, DerbySoft, or Online Travel Agencies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in technical account management, partner success, or sales engineering in the travel tech, Online Travel Agencies, or hospitality industry

  • 1+ year of experience supporting multi-property or portfolio environments

  • 1+ year of experience onboarding new hotel partners or managing connectivity integrations

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Sr Assoc, Business Development


New York, NY: $121,300 - $138,400 for Sr Assoc, Business Development


Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400 for Sr Assoc, Business Development









Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
