Job description

If yes, then I I Stanley may be the opportunity you have been looking for. We are looking for Sales Account Managers for our Battle Creek, MI amp; Livonia, MI facilities.
I I Stanley Company, Inc., a leading supplier of automotive lighting products, was established in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1985. Founded on the principles of respect, trust, and value, we serve a wide range of customers – domestic and foreign – by supplying them with high-quality automotive headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To drive and cooperate with global sales and global satellite to acquire the new business incl. but not limited to ger the RFQ from customer with all commercial amp; technical documents included in and lead the quotation preparation according to internal procedure
  • Draft the quotation letter and quote to customer after alignment with Sales Team
  • Process the commercial negotiation aiming for getting new business order
  • To obtain the competitors’ status with compliance range if necessary. Internally coordinating all related departments for each acquisition according to company guidelines
  • Win/lost analysis after each acquisition and contract management for each business order, including contract management with OEM designated tier when applicable
  • Support the launching of new order projects’ milestones before SOP, and getting tooling reimbursement for D amp;D cost after project SOP
  • Customer relationship maintenance and daily routine execution of each order projects
  • Be the first window of facing customer’s complaints on any projects, to coordinate internal resources to give quick and proper feedback to customer
  • Continuously follow up open billing, AR overdue, etc.
  • Support annual price negotiations and OEM’s
  • Support market research and marketing communication activities by providing market and competition information
  • Ensure all activities are in accordance to the Stanley’s Global Sales Strategy
  • Coordinate activities to increase profit levels and obtain customer compensation on new programs
  • Communicate requirements due to contract amendments and approved contracts to ensure customer needs are met
  • Support VE activity with customers
  • Ensure all TS16949 requirements are met for sales and contract review
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong ability to understand customer requirements with ability to articulate clear solutions and influence customer behavior
  • Excellent business, commercial and technical understanding
  • MS Office proficiency required
OPTIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Experience working in automotive lighting industry
  • Experience working with Automotive Industry Leaders and OEM’s
  • Strong technical program management skills

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related technical field (electrical mechanical, etc.)
  • Three to five (3-5) years’ experience in account/sales management role in the automotive industry

This position may occasionally be required to travel overnight to perform essential functions at remote locations or receive training. The position may be required to work overtime (unplanned and unscheduled) to meet deadlines and requirements. Position requires the ability to interact with internal and external contacts.
