Job Summary

The Stress Echocardiology Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients undergoing procedures in the Electrocardiology Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administering medication to perform moderate sedation.
  • Participate in diagnostic and treatment procedures in electrophysiology,
  • Document activities of patient care and testing, and assisting physicians in testing and assessment of cardiac problems.
  • Communicate results of testing to nursing and case managers and will be responsible for continuing education research and patient teaching.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Nursing, with a minimum of 2 years Cardiac Care nursing experience required.
  • NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible).
  • CPR-BLS certification and ACLS certification required by time of appointment.
  • Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in an ICU, Critical Care, or Cardiac Stress/Echo Lab setting.
Work Days

Day Shifts: 40 hours per week with on call requirements.
