Pediatric Healthcare Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our pediatric healthcare team. The RN will play a key leadership role by supervising, supporting, and training our team of Medical Assistants. This position ensures the highest standard of patient care by promoting clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor Medical Assistants in day-to-day clinical activities
  • Train new MAs on clinical procedures, vaccine administration, EMR documentation, and patient care protocols
  • Oversee and support MAs in patient triage, vitals, rooming, injections, specimen collection, and lab testing
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical safety standards
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of charting and documentation
  • Audit and evaluate MA performance; provide ongoing feedback and skill development
  • Help coordinate supply inventory and ensure proper stock levels of medical supplies and vaccines
  • Collaborate with physicians and practice management to ensure smooth workflow
  • Assist with updating clinical protocols and staff education as needed
  • Step in to provide direct patient care as needed to support clinic operations
  • Ensure treatment rooms and equipment meet cleanliness and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid IL RN license
  • Associates degree in nursing required, bachelors preferred
  • Strong knowledge of outpatient procedures and best practices
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and computers
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
