What You'll Need
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Active Montana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC/compact) license required to start the assignment
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required
- Experience with vascular and electrophysiology procedures preferred
- Experience with Philips Xray/Xper Hemo imaging equipment and Meditech EMR preferred
- Proficient English language oral and written communication skills
Minimum Requirements — Client Specific
- MT or Compact nursing license required.
- ACLS and BLS required.
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience.
- Experience or willingness to support Vascular and EP procedures as service line expands.
- Familiarity with Philips Xray/Xper Hemo systems and Meditech EMR preferred.
- Flexible availability to cover varied shifts, weekends, and call responsibilities. Call frequency approximately 10–12 days per month.
What You’ll Do
- Provide peri-procedural nursing care in a 2-room Cath/IR/EP/Vascular Lab performing approximately 9 cases per day.
- Ensure proper performance and maintenance of cath lab equipment and supplies.
- Assess patient needs and promote a safe surgical environment while circulating and scrubbing for procedures.
- Support procedures including left and right heart cath/PCI, PM/ICD implants, structural heart, TEE/CV, and various IR procedures such as ports, PICCs, peripheral interventions, ESI, nephrostomy, and G-tubes.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesia, cath lab manager, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Document care accurately and timely according to facility standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet unit needs and participate in a three-person call team with mixed scrubs and nurses.
