Purpose:

The Product Services Analyst acts as a cross functional analyst supporting regulatory compliance, risk management, and product support. Working with Product Management, Corporate Underwriting, Compliance, Legal, and other areas as a partner in delivering product services delegated by or in place of the Product Management team. This role exists to enable seamless collaboration across various service and product functions. Team members operate with flexibility, adaptability, and shared accountability to deliver outcomes regardless of traditional role boundaries.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Compliance/Risk Management

  • Research and analyze communicated DOI changes/new bills to support Regulatory Compliance and provide direction to the LOB to take the needed action including policy language updates.
  • Research, analyze, and reply to DOI Complaints, requests for Rate Verification and premium transparency.

Policy Wording

  • Lead cross-functional policy language development: Partner with Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, Claims, Operations, and other internal teams to identify needs, draft complex insurance policy provisions, and build clear, market-ready policy language aligned to product specifications.
  • Perform regulatory research and analysis with Legal, Compliance, Product, Claims, and other teams to assess impacts of changing laws; implement required policy-language updates and develop strategic solutions to resolve complex policy-related issues.

Cross Functional

  • This role is designed for flexibility-any team member can perform any function as needed. Within the Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC), this service role may encompass responsibilities of Product Manager, Product Analyst, or Business Analyst. Success is measured by outcomes, collaboration, and adaptability rather than rigid role definitions.
  • Follow established processes for Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) and control frameworks
  • Release publishing will create and maintain required artifacts and documentation, ensuring version control.
  • Support Product Cross Functional needs acting as project manager, facilitator, point person for items such as Market Conduct Exams and Audits.
  • Collaborate with LOBs/Product Management, Configuration, Regulatory Filings, IT, QA, and other stakeholders to gather and document detailed business, functional, and data requirements for product initiatives and production support for compliance projects or nonspecific LOB requirements. (ASL, Additional Cost aka Taxes/Fees, Billing Fees)
  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and assist in operationalizing those enhancements with teams involved.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with project management concepts, tracking tools and issue resolution processes
  • Understanding of risk management, audit practices, and workflow/process improvement
  • Solid understanding of PDLC/SDLC methodologies and insurance operations
  • Understanding knowledge of Guidewire systems
  • Understanding of actuarial, regulatory, and underwriting principles
  • Solid understanding of data concepts, structures, reporting, and query capabilities

Education, Certifications & Designations:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree Business, Finance, Math, IT or similar field or equivalent work experience

Preferred:

  • MBA or similar advanced degree
  • CPCU or other P&C insurance related studies
