Job description

Our Investment Services team in the Chicago, New York City or Washington, DC office is seeking an associate with 3-5 years of corporate or securities law experience at a law firm.

AboutYou:
  • You have 3-5 years of corporate and securities law experience at a law firm, primarily working with SEC-registered investment advisers and private investment funds (specifically private equity, venture capital, real estate and similar investment vehicles).
  • You have experience with regulatory and compliance matters regarding federal securities laws, including the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Securities Act of 1933.
  • You ideally have transactional/mergers & acquisition experience involving investment advisers and/or private investment funds (e.g., adviser M&A, continuation vehicles, secondary transactions, etc.).
  • You have experience managing multiple matters simultaneously.
  • You have a J.D. degree and strong academic credentials are admitted in (and in good standing with), or taking steps to become admitted in, the applicable jurisdiction (Illinois, New York or District of Columbia).
