About the Role

We are currently seeking bright, enthusiastic college students to join our Global Associate Recruiting Department in Los Angeles, New York, San Diego or Washington D.C. Interns will have the opportunity to help with strategic planning, implementation, and direction of the firm-wide law school and associate hiring programs. They will work on projects related to associate recruiting program events, budget management, staffing and evaluation, and the organization of our interview programs. Interns will build valuable knowledge and skills while working in a dynamic and virtual workplace, and will return to school with a broad understanding of lawyer and staff positions available in the legal industry.

Interns must be able to start employment on Monday, December 14, 2026 and be available to work through to Friday, February 26, 2027. Please note that this position is part time (a minimum of 20 hours a week) with the option for remote work to accommodate differing school schedules. Paid time off is not available for this position.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing lawyers for virtual interviews and career fairs
  • Reviewing applicant resumes and transcripts
  • Assisting with arrangements for virtual interviews of candidates
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
