Job description

We are seeking a Receptionist to join a manufacturing company in Waukesha for a contract to direct hire.


Prefer 90 day C-D -will consider temp


Pay: $22-27/HR


Summary

Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries. Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories and giving instructions. Maintains security by following procedures and monitoring visitor logbook.


Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Answer telephone, screen and direct calls, and taking and relaying messages. Use paging system as needed.

• Greet and monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.

• Receive, sort, and distribute mail, faxes and deliveries. Operate postage machine and stamp outgoing mail, maintain postage stamp supply.

• Maintain postings on company intranet

• Create birthday and anniversary announcements.

• Update employee list, phone directory, and organizational chart.

• Organize onsite company events such as a quarterly Blood Drive.

• Manage inventory and order office supplies.

• Assist engineering in creating shop books.

• Maintain employee photo board.

• Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

• High School Diploma required, technical diploma or associate degree in administrative support preferred.

• Three years related experience.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and basic instruction.

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public.

• Competent in key workplace tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

• Physical Requirements: Sit and stand for extended periods of time. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
