Job Description:

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc., has an opening in its Wellford, SC location for an Associate Quality Manager. The Associate Quality Manager supports the Quality Manager in maintaining and continually improving the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and overall quality performance. This position oversees daily quality activities, including incoming inspection, nonconforming material control, corrective actions, internal audits, product and process audits (as appropriate) and quality documentation / reporting.

SCOPE

The Associate Quality Manager has direct responsibility for supervising Quality Technicians and coordinating temporary personnel and outside services supporting inspection, auditing, containment, sorting, and rework activities. The position works cross-functionally with Production, Quality Engineering, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, Distribution and Logistics (as appropriate) to resolve quality issues, support audits, implement corrective actions, and promote consistent quality standards and continuous improvement throughout the organization, as appropriate.

WORK PERFORMED

  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
  • Maintain and support quality procedures, work instructions, forms, and other controlled documentation.
  • Oversee and support incoming quality inspection activities at Distribution Centers and quality processes within production facilities, as required.
  • Ensure products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet established specifications, quality standards, and acceptance requirements.
  • Manage the identification, containment, and disposition of nonconforming materials.
  • Coordinate temporary personnel and outside services for inspection, sorting, containment, and rework projects.
  • Support internal audits, ISO certification audits, and other quality system assessments.
  • Document audit findings and support corrective action development, implementation, and effectiveness verification.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor quality performance and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support preparation for Management Review and other QMS-related activities.
  • Perform other quality-related duties and projects, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification a plus.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, incoming inspection, nonconforming material control, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and internal auditing.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience working with domestic and international manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct or support manufacturing process and quality system audits.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross-functional activities.
  • Working knowledge of quality documentation and document control systems.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle and MasterControl strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • ASQ certifications preferred.
