Job description


We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Technical Writer to lead our RFP and proposal efforts. In this role, you will break down complex Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements and collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Commercial, and Operational teams to craft competitive technical proposals for our oil and gas projects. You will also create technical proposals for existing work.
Key Responsibilities
  • RFP Analysis: Dissect incoming RFPs, Requests for Information (RFIs), and bid documents to extract evaluation criteria, technical specifications, and supply chain requests.
  • Proposal Development: Write proposals tailored to specific client needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Commercial, Engineering and Operations in a support role for new and upcoming job opportunities.
  • Content Management: Maintain and update a reusable proposal content library to ensure swift and accurate responses.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all proposal submissions strictly adhere to client requirements, brand guidelines, and industry standards.
  • Process Management: Participate in strategy and bid kick-off meetings, track proposal progress against strict deadlines, and manage document versions.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Preferred: Higher education degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) in Engineering, Technical Communications, English, Journalism, or a closely related commercial field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of technical writing experience, with specific experience in the oil and gas, energy, or industrial services sectors.
