Job description

Job Title: Ben Admin
Major Department: Corporate Headquarters
Minor Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Benefits Manager
DOL Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Ben Admin provides administrative and clerical support to the Benefits Manager and HR department. This role assists with benefits enrollment, data entry, employee communications, and document maintenance. The position ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and a positive employee experience across all benefit and leave processes. As a team member of Pete's Fresh Market, it is important that Pete's Four Pillars of Value, Aesthetic, Quality, and Customer Service are always exemplified.
Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, life event changes, and employee inquiries.
  • Maintain organized benefits files, documents, and audit records (electronic and hard copy).
  • Support open enrollment by preparing communication materials, forms, and schedules.
  • Track and update employee benefit changes and ensure HRIS accuracy.
  • Schedule store meetings to help manage calendars and coordinate employee appointments for the Benefits Manager.
  • Assist with ACA and audit data collection.
  • Support FMLA and leave documentation processing as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive employee data.
  • Serve as a key contact for employees with questions regarding their benefits options, coverage, and eligibility.
  • Educate new hires on the company's benefits packages during the onboarding process.
  • Provide data and technical support to the HR Team as needed.
  • Represent Pete's Market in a professional manner.

Education, Certifications, and Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent HR/administrative experience required.
  • 2+ years of administrative or HR support experience, preferably in benefits.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) - Required.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with a high concentration in Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Prefer some HRIS experience, Paycom.
  • Prefer strong project management skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical demands include, but are not limited to:
  • The potential for prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting and/or bending
  • The ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion
  • Travel to store locations required
  • Occasionally high stress when dealing with systems, customers, and/or staff members.

Starting hourly rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and will vary based on things like location, experience and qualifications. All positions are eligible for Overtime, and some positions will have guaranteed Overtime available.
Salary range is 55k - 75k.
