Job Description

The Apprenticeships & Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, administration, and execution of craft training, apprenticeship classes, and other workforce development initiatives across the region. This role serves as a key partner to instructors, workforce development teams, and craft employees to ensure training programs are delivered efficiently and effectively.
The Apprenticeships & Training Coordinator manages training schedules, registrations, communications, records, reporting, logistics, and program administration while helping create a positive learning experience for craft professionals and employees at all levels.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, relationship driven, and passionate about workforce development and employee growth within the construction industry.


Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and support the delivery of training programs, certifications, onboarding, workforce development initiatives, and apprenticeship-related activities across the region.
* Manage training schedules, registrations, communications, logistics, and resources to ensure successful program execution.
* Maintain accurate training records, certifications, compliance documentation, and participant data within learning management and workforce development systems.
* Track training participation, completion requirements, and workforce development metrics; generate reports and support audit and compliance activities as needed.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, apprentices, instructors, and field leaders regarding training programs, schedules, and requirements.
* Partner with operations, workforce development, safety, HR, and field leadership teams to support workforce readiness, employee development, and organizational training goals.
* Support workforce outreach, apprenticeship recruitment, career pathway initiatives, and community engagement efforts.
* Assist with curriculum updates, training materials, program documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training effectiveness and participant experience.
* Support the implementation and administration of new training technologies, systems, and workforce development programs.
* Ensure training environments, materials, equipment, and resources are prepared, organized, and aligned with company safety and operational standards. Support implementation of new training technologies and workforce development initiatives
* Track and update individual apprentice compliance records with 3rd party organizations, e.g. RAPIDS, DOL, WECA, etc, where necessary

Education & Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience preferred
* 2-4 years of experience in training coordination, workforce development, education administration, human resources, operations support, or related fields preferred
* Experience supporting construction, skilled trades, apprenticeship, workforce development, or safety training programs preferred
* Strong organizational and project coordination skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
* Experience using learning management systems (LMS), training databases, or workforce tracking systems preferred
* Ability to generate reports and analyze training data
* Familiarity with virtual meeting and training platforms such as Teams or Zoom
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications
* Experience supporting apprenticeship or workforce development programs
* Knowledge of construction industry workforce development practices
* Experience coordinating events, training programs, or educational initiatives
* Familiarity with Department of Labor, NCCER, apprenticeship standards, or construction certification programs preferred
* Bilingual communication skills preferred

Work Environment & Physical Activity
* Combination of office, training center, classroom, and active construction project environments
* Frequent interaction with craft employees, instructors, apprentices, field leaders, and workforce development partners
* Ability to move training materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
* Occasional travel to project sites, training centers, schools, and workforce development events
* Regional travel will be required based on training and program needs

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Salary is just one component of DPR's total compensation package. Arizona, North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Richmond range: $52,800 to $81,000. Sacramento, San Diego, Texas, Colorado, New Jersey, Philadelphia range: $58,080 to $89,100. Seattle, Boston, DC, Pasadena range: $63,360 to $97,200. Bay Area range: $68,640 to $105,300
