Job description

The robotic coordinator supports services performing robotic procedures and possesses a working knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique, and perioperative policies and guidelines. The robotic coordinator must have knowledge of surgical procedures, an understanding of human surgical anatomy, and proper positioning of surgical patients. The robotic coordinator must have the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team. The robotic coordinator is responsible for the dailysupport of roboticsurgeries, management of equipment, beingthe point of contact for any robotic related questions (system, technical or clinical), and clinical troubleshooting during robotic procedures. The robotic coordinator works collaboratively with physician and nursing leadership to assist with educational activities and training for surgical personnel on the robotic system.

Associate Degree in Healthcare related field required. 

  • Candidates currently enrolled in an accredited healthcare-related associate degree program at the time of hire must successfully complete the degree within one year of hire.  
  • Operating room experience (3+ years of successful work experience within the last 5 years) Robotic surgery experience (3+ years of successful work experience within the last 5 years) Minimally invasive surgery experience. 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Adapts to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting. 
  • Demonstrates patient-centered and customer focused communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal supervision. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and task management skills. 
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Evidence of proven Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Accepts and supports changes in work assignments as related to departmental and patient needs require.
     

Licensure/Certification Required:
Maintains Basic Life Support Certification.
