UWM is a Carnegie R1 institution with strong community engagement and an access mission. Our institution has a deep commitment to the success of all students, particularly those who have been historically underrepresented in higher education.
This full-time 12-month position serves as core instructional faculty in the entry level MSOT and post-professional OTD degree programs within the Occupational Therapy Science and Technology programs. The primary responsibilities of this position will be instructional. In addition, the successful candidate will also engage in curricular design, research and scholarship, mentoring and advising students, and service to the program(s), school and/or profession.
Approximate percentages of time: 80% teaching; 10% Research and Scholarship; 10% Service
Work will be performed primarily on the UW-Milwaukee campus.
Anticipated start date is August 2026.

Occupational Therapy Science and Technology Programs (OTST)
The Occupational Therapy Science and Technology Programs (OTST) are consistently ranked among the best in the nation. Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is expected to be $79,000-$93,000 depending on the level hired (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) on a 12-month basis at 100%. Final salary offer will be contingent upon degree and the knowledge, skills, and abilities demonstrated throughout the selection process.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field (e.g., OTD, PhD, EdD or equivalent) by time of hire.
- Current Wisconsin licensed Occupational Therapist or eligible for state of Wisconsin Occupational Therapy Licensure.
- 2 years of experience in a clinical practice setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of expertise and experience in a clinical practice setting, preferably adult physical rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in either practice or academia.
- Prior instructional experience as a fieldwork educator and/or academic educator.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills as demonstrated in application materials.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative member of a team.
- Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification or 3+ years of experience working with assistive technology in professional practice.
