The Opportunity

A Level D academic is expected to demonstrate academic leadership and make substantial contributions to teaching, research, professional practice, and service within the discipline, the School, the University, and the broader academic and professional community. The Associate Professor is expected to provide leadership in curriculum development, research, and engagement activities, mentor colleagues and higher degree research candidates, and contribute to the strategic development and reputation of the discipline.

The Associate Professor will play a leading role in the development, delivery, and continuous enhancement of undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive education programs in Accounting. The successful candidate is expected to have an established record of excellence in teaching, curriculum innovation, and pedagogical leadership. The Associate Professor will maintain a strong and internationally recognised research profile through high-quality publications, success in securing competitive research funding, supervision of higher degree research candidates, and meaningful engagement with industry, the profession, and government. The role is expected to strengthen the School's research capability, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, contribute to academic governance and strategic initiatives, and support partnerships that enhance the University's academic reputation and societal impact.
