We are looking for world class manufacturing planners to apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing & production processes for the efficient/economical production of aerospace products. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets are made and operated. Key Responsibilities:

Translating engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions.

Support Mfg Engineers in the use of system tools to execute work orders including disposition of nonconformances, redlining work orders, revising BOM, BOM reconciliation, and GSE/Tooling maintenance and procurement.

Providing shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.

Provide oversight and guidance for the creation and revision of manufacturing plans to ensure the required information and structure are provided for MRP systems.

Maintain and communicate manufacturing engineering metrics and schedules.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to reduce build time and improve safety and quality.

The Manufacturing Planner at Blue Origin plays a pivotal role in advancing the efficiency and reliability of aerospace components through cutting-edge assembly methods. As part of a large, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will manufacture and assemble hardware on our premier launch vehicle, Blue Ring. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of transforming the way our vehicles are made and integrated. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, structures, automotive manufacturing or similar: (3+ years experience as Level II)

High School Diploma or GED.

Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering processes and procedures, including planning systems.

Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.

Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands on experience with building flight hardware.

Associate degree or trade school in related discipline.

Six Sigma Black Belt & Lean Manufacturing Certification.

Experience with design, development or production of launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellites.

Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Creo or CATIA V5).

Customer focused with a proven track record to work cooperatively with teams of different skills across large geographic distances.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
