Job description

Senior Associate, Product Management โ€“ Platform (CI/CD)

As the Senior Associate Product Manager you will be at the forefront of defining what Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) looks like for our cloudโ€‘native bank. You will own the vision, strategy, and execution of the tools and processes that power our software delivery lifecycle, balancing developer autonomy with security, compliance, and rapid, safe deployment.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Own the Roadmap: Define and maintain a dataโ€‘driven roadmap for our CI/CD ecosystem, prioritizing investments in automation, testing frameworks, and deployment orchestration to reduce lead time for changes.
  • Drive the Developer Experience: Conduct user research and feedback sessions with engineering teams to identify friction points, minimize cognitive load, and maximize developer productivity.
  • Be Well Managed: Partner with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure audit requirements are met automatically, freeing developers to focus on building features.
  • Obsess on Operational Excellence: Define and track North Star metrics for the platform, including DORA metrics (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time, Change Failure Rate, and MTTR).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the bridge between Infrastructure/SRE teams and Product, communicating complex technical tradeโ€‘offs to nonโ€‘technical stakeholders and aligning platform goals with broader business objectives.
  • Problem Solving & Insights: Use data to uncover potential single points of failure, advocate for architectural improvements, and stay ahead of industry trends in cloud delivery.
Weโ€™re Looking For
  • An Executionโ€‘Oriented Manager: Thrive in the details of the product lifecycleโ€”managing a backlog, writing crisp acceptance criteria, and helping a tech team clear hurdles.
  • Technical Curiosity: Excited by highโ€‘stakes horizontal work and eager to learn about distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and system resilience.
  • An Advocate for Quality: Believe that a feature isnโ€™t โ€œdoneโ€ until it is proven stable, scalable, and safe for customers.
Why Join This Team

Gain influence across the organization to scale deployment speed and improve the stability of the financial services we provide. Learn core product management skills and grow in four key areas: Humanโ€‘Centered Design, Business Focus, Technologyโ€‘Driven Development, and Transformational Leadership. Impact timeโ€‘toโ€‘market and the quality of our platform at the intersection of DevOps practices and financial industry challenges.

Growth Opportunities
  • Human Centered: Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, break down business epics into user stories, and drive minimalโ€‘viableโ€‘product deliverables.
  • Business Focused: Use hypothesisโ€‘driven data assessment to ensure product value, prioritize feature roadmaps, and manage risk.
  • Technology Driven: Work autonomously in an agile environment, develop features that leverage evolving technology, and collaborate with designers, data scientists, and experts.
  • Transformational Leadership: Participate in horizontal forums, nurture relationships, articulate product roadmaps, and become a product matter expert.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent military experience.
  • At least 1 year of product management experience or equivalent experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science or engineering.
  • 1+ years translating business strategy or analysis into consumerโ€‘facing digital products.
  • 1+ years working on core product platforms that power digital experiences.
  • 1+ years of experience working with crossโ€‘functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process.
Compensation

McLean, VA: $111,200 โ€“ $126,900 for Senior Associate, Product Management. Additional locations have their specific salary ranges. You may also earn performanceโ€‘based incentive compensation, including cash bonus(s) and/or longโ€‘term incentives (LTI). Eligibility varies by fullโ€‘time status, exempt or nonโ€‘exempt status, and management level.
