Job Description:

The Public Safety and Professional Communications business unit of L3Harris is looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial mindset to join the Strategic Solutions team as a Product Manager.  The ideal candidate will want to be the 'owner" of their product's success in the market, ensure that it provides a solution to the customer's problems, and provides value to the overall business.  The candidate will want to thrive in a team environment, be able to exhibit their products at tradeshows, demonstrate their solutions with customers, and enjoy the diversity of responsibility that a Product Manager operates in.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, execute, and manage strategic solutions that will grow L3Harris' influence in the critical communications industry.
  • Analyze market verticals, conduct research, define solution requirements, and manage partner solution roadmaps.
  • Develop Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for solutions integrating into the critical communications industry including Land Mobile Radio and 4G LTE/5G based technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years as a Product Manager or Product Owner. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years as a Product Manager or Product Owner. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years as a Product Manager or Product Owner.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with building a network of partners with a business case to support the reason for partnership.
  • Critical communications market experience.
  • Experience with business systems like SAP.
  • Develop market driven and financially viable SaaS model in the critical communications industry.
  • Provide recommendations on the overall long term product strategy to set a transition plan for customers to migrate from an own and operate model to a managed service model.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, strong capability of project management and problem-solving skills, sound judgment and a willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization and promote ideas persuasively.
  • Self-starter: Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, PowerBI, etc).
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiating, and organizational skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $88,500 - $164,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
