Lead the vision for data-driven products—your strategic mindset and technical acumen will turn ideas into impactful solutions that shape the future.

As a Data Product Owner within the Center for Economic Intelligence, you will be responsible for delivering critical data products that power advanced analytics, AI initiatives, and external-facing platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to craft data product strategies and drive end‑to‑end roadmaps. You will act as the voice of the data consumer, while ensuring data is in compliance with Firmwide policies and standards.

The Center for Economic Intelligence monitors, coordinates and develops a holistic internal & external view of the financial well-being of consumers and businesses through the lens of JPMC and third party data. As the nation’s largest bank, we are uniquely positioned to inform public perspective on the direction of the economy.

Job responsibilities
  • Define the product strategy, vision, and roadmapfor reusable data products that deliver measurable value to data consumers.
  • Execute and prioritize the roadmap based on business need, continuously balancing value, effort, and dependencies to ensure the highest‑impact work moves first.
  • Own and manage the data product backlog, writing and grooming epics and stories, defining acceptance criteria, and partnering with teams to scope, prioritize, and sequence delivery by sprint.
  • Drive the full data product lifecycle, coordinating with data science on model requirements and with engineering on build and release of production‑ready data products.
  • Lead discovery efforts, conducting research with data consumers and translating findings into well‑defined roadmaps.
  • Establish and track key success metrics and KPIs(e.g., cost, feature/functionality, adoption, reliability).
  • Stay current on external data updates and internal data marketplace changes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 7+ years of technical product management experience, with a strong grasp of agile methodologies and delivery practices.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics).
  • Advanced knowledge of the data product development life cycle and demonstrated ability to deliver on data product roadmaps.
  • Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, data architecture, and modern data tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, AWS, Teradata).
  • Knowledge of ETL principles, data structures, and cloud‑based technologies (e.g., S3, Glue, Athena).
  • Experience with risk and control requirements.
