Our client seeks an experienced Product Owner to modernize Call Reporting data and processes with primary focus on FR Y-14C. The role leads Agile delivery teams, manages a team of product analysts and associate product owners, and partners with Technology, Risk, Compliance, and senior stakeholders to deliver governed outcomes that balance reporting accuracy, regulatory requirements, and business value.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to enterprise and business unit goals.
  • Translate business strategy into a prioritized backlog that delivers measurable value.
  • Define success metrics and track product performance against KPIs and OKRs.
  • Identify market, customer, and competitive trends within financial services to inform product direction.
  • Lead identification, prioritization, and remediation of data deficiencies to improve Call Reporting accuracy and data quality.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog with well-defined, estimable items prioritized by business value and risk.
  • Write and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and definition of done with the delivery team.
  • Make timely scope and prioritization decisions to keep delivery unblocked.
  • Ensure backlog reflects regulatory, compliance, and data governance requirements.
  • Manage the regulatory reporting requirements backlog and prioritize releases and fixes based on impact.
  • Lead and coach product analysts and associate product owners, providing direction and development support.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies as the voice of the customer.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters to manage velocity, capacity, and dependencies.
  • Remove impediments related to scope, priority, or stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee production readiness, testing strategy, defect management, and evidence capture with QA and Technology.
  • Serve as liaison between business sponsors, technology teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Build consensus on priorities, trade-offs, and release plans.
  • Facilitate steering committees and governance forums, including regulatory and compliance initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain the interaction model between Enterprise Data Technology Management and Regulatory Reporting stakeholders.
  • Support Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives with enterprise data teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and escalate risks and scope or timeline changes as needed.
  • Define and monitor product success metrics using data and customer feedback.
  • Apply Agile, Lean, and Kaizen principles for continuous improvement.
  • Champion a high-performance culture and mentor team members.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Agile, product management, and banking technology trends.

Experience Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience owning a product backlog and leading Agile delivery teams in a complex or regulated environment, ideally financial services.
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members, including direct or matrixed staff.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile, Lean, and Kaizen with hands-on experience using Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience leading or supporting production readiness, testing strategy, and QA for large-scale implementations.
  • Working knowledge of bank regulatory compliance, controls, and governance, with audit alignment experience.
  • Working knowledge of data lineage and data flows, including traceability from sources to reporting outputs.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into a prioritized roadmap and actionable user stories.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Reserve Call Reporting, particularly FR Y-14C and related schedules and source data.
  • Resourceful problem solver with technical fluency to engage with data and technology teams.
  • Preferred: experience with acquisitions and integration testing, wealth management implementations, front-to-back-office operations, and regulatory programs such as FR Y-14M/Q and FR Y-9C.
  • Preferred: track record leading organizational change and continuous improvement cultures.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred certifications: CSPO, SAFe POPM, or equivalent.
