Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Department: Operations
Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Director of Operations
Supervises: No
Work Location: Warehouse in Raleigh, NC, or Hybrid
Job Summary: As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the procurement process, including contract management, contract negotiations and preparation of purchase orders. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our commitments to customers are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Track inventory and restock goods when needed
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
  • Locate key suppliers, negotiate the company purchasing agreements and making sure their materials and products meet the company's specifications
  • Recommend new products, services, or materials in keeping with industry trends
  • Identifying issues and discrepancies
  • Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
  • Ensuring compliance with all related laws and regulations
  • Initiating corrective actions on bad materials and following through the resolution with suppliers

Required Education and Experience: Associate Degree and at least 2 years of related work experience. Knowledge of supply chain, procurement, inventory, and property management practices and procedures. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. Team player. Time management and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Schedule: The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am until 5:30 pm. This is a remote hybrid position with the expectations of 3 days in the office.
Salary: This position is paid between $19.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
