To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Planner Scheduler located in Salt Lake City, UT.

Reporting to the manager the potential candidate would be in charge of helping planning and scheduling team with materials and production functions. He would be responsible for leading the planners and schedulers, coordinating and approving product release to the production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.

Shift Hours : 10:00 pm - 06:30 am mst (Sun - thu)

What a typical day looks like:

  • Checking the possibility of the order fulfillment based on the available resources (materials, employees, equipment etc.), confirmation of the order.
  • Preparation of production plans, input of planning data into the integrated computer system of the company, notification of the purchasing group
  • Monitoring, control of implementation of plans, starting necessary actions in case of deviations
  • Preparation of long-term plans, forecasts (MPS, Forecast)
  • Monitoring of system accuracy in daily/weekly bases /General Item data, routing, BOM, CFT data /Non-consumed demand, planned WO's.
  • Preparing of Clean to build report's, checking the material availability, replanning if necessary, informing of order desk, ECO implementation tracing.
  • Monitoring of stock level, handling of stock differences. Preparing management and CFT specificities reports, monitoring of KPI's /
  • Giving assistance, replacement in certain cases to SCM and Order desk within the CFT.
  • Advises non-exempt associates regarding day-to-day priority of customer requests.
  • Monitors and proactively addresses issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time, and inventory goals.
  • Coordinates and manages high-visibility and/or important customer programs. May include initial customer or product startup initiatives or large customer programs.
  • Coordinates with Master Scheduler to manage product life cycle and related materials availability issues.
  • Drives process improvements inside and outside the area of Order Management.
  • Provides input to management, reschedules, and /or interfaces with customer program management, master scheduling, customers and production control to reschedule production in the event of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions
  • Represents Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams. May also help inventory control, supply chain management, material planning, and scheduling.
  • Ensures compliance of standards and all manufacturing area personnel are trained and certified in their specific functions, and that no task is performed by untrained.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in materials or related field.
  • Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
  • Knowledge about any ERP or BAAN system , MS excel and Outlook .
  • Ability to operate data entry, office software including, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages and data base systems.
