Product Distribution Roles:
  • Full-Time Day Shift - $21.00 starting rate ($20.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)
  • Full-Time Evening/Overnight Shift - $24.00 starting rate ($20.00 base pay, $1.00 allowance, and $3.00 shift differential)
  • Full-Time 3-12 Shift - $23.34 starting rate ($20.00 base pay, $1.00 allowance, and $2.34 allowance for the 36 for 40 schedule)
  • Part-Time - $20.00 starting rate ($19.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)
  • Seasonal Day Shift - $20.00 starting rate ($19.00 base pay and $1.00 allowance)

Position Overview:
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Flexible)
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling and optimizing maintenance tasks for assets in a high-volume electronic component distribution material handling system. This role ensures maintenance work is accurately entered, prioritized, and planned within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Maintenance Planner works closely with maintenance technicians, operations, engineering, and vendors to ensure equipment reliability, effective resource allocation, and minimal downtime.
This is considered an essential on-site role, which requires regular on-site attendance.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Develop, plan, and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance work orders using the CMMS.
  • Estimate hours, assign, and ensure qualifications for each task.
  • Ensure parts availability by coordinating with the spare parts administrator.
  • Maintain an organized backlog of tasks and ensure all are planned and ready for scheduling.
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM) & Reliability Optimization
  • Review and optimize PM tasks to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Work with reliability engineer to utilize equipment history, failure data, and technician feedback to improve maintenance routines.
  • Assist in implementing reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • CMMS Data Management
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset data, PM schedules, job plans, and work order status within the CMMS.
  • Generate and analyze CMMS reports to support planning, reliability improvement, and KPI tracking.
  • Ensure standard maintenance procedures, risk assessments, and manuals are accessible and linked to maintenance tasks.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with maintenance supervisors and operations to coordinate weekly accessibility of equipment.
  • Communicate job plans clearly to technicians and provide necessary documentation.
  • Partner with engineering teams on system upgrades, equipment changes, and improvement projects.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Associate degree (2-year degree) in Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or related field.
  • Preferred: 4-year degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical/Electrical Technology, or related field.
  • 2 years work experience using a CMMS for work order entry, planning, and reporting.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems common in conveyor and material-handling equipment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Experience with Preventive Maintenance Optimization, reliability engineering concepts, or RCM
  • Preferred: Supervisor Experience

  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen.
