Job description

Job Title: Packaging Operator 1

Location: Martin, SC 29836
Pay Rate: $20/hour on W2
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
Contract: Temporary/Contract
Overtime: Occasional


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform packaging and production operations according to established procedures.
  • Transport chemicals and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, pumps, and piping systems.
  • Monitor product quality and quantity throughout production.
  • Follow chemical handling, PPE, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Clean equipment and work areas after production.
  • Properly label equipment and containers.
  • Complete batch records, logbooks, and production documentation accurately.
  • Handle and dispose of waste according to company procedures.
  • Report equipment issues, process deviations, and unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in required safety and quality training.

Requirements:

  • Forklift experience required.
  • 1–2 years of chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • High school diploma with 1–3 years of similar experience, or Associate's degree in Life Sciences preferred.
  • Basic computer, mechanical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals and wear required PPE.
  • Ability to perform physical work and lift 20+ lbs.
