Overview

Applies comprehensive knowledge of the Onsite Food Safety and Quality Operations area to independently execute complex tasks and contribute to decision-making around strategy execution. May mentor and/or manage associates to ensure work is completed in an accurate and timely manner, providing guidance or support as needed. Responsible for in-process and final product quality analyses/inspection in compliance with standards and regulatory requirements, interpreting and evaluating the analyses in terms of accuracy and precision against established specifications.

Responsibilities
  • This job applies advanced knowledge of Onsite Food Safety and Quality Operations area processes to independently execute and facilitate complex tasks and initiatives, identifying solutions to complex problems requiring investigation and analysis. 
  • Reviews and implements quality assurance policies and procedures related to food safety, ensuring they align with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Addresses recurring quality issues to enhance product safety and freshness.
  • Directs the creation of food safety policies and training initiatives.
  • Develops reports for management that highlight trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Participates in strategic supply chain cost-saving initiatives.
  • Responsible for driving operational aspects of their teams, budget, performance, compliance, as well as implementing workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.
  • Facilitates the timely execution of area processes, guiding associates on best practice techniques to ensure organizational standards of excellence are met.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Engineering, Chemistry, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Operations within the food or beverage industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Food Safety Management Systems, regulatory compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience leading root cause investigations, corrective action programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams while influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with FSSC 22000, AIB, QAS, and other food safety certification standards is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
