General Description (major areas of responsibility of this position):
A person in this position is primarily responsible to provide technical assistance and guidance to customers during the presales process. They will focus on research, preparation and lead generation, retain current customers, improve current customer relationships, obtain referrals form current customers, and grow sales volume and
profitability with current customers. Performs regular and accurate reporting to support sales planning and analysis activities, written quotations and negotiations, and records the successful processes and procedures required to carry out all functions. Excellence is demonstrated consistently and process improvements are contributed.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccount Management & Customer Relations
  • Territory Management: Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to visit existing customers at their locations, providing technical assistance and guidance.

  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key contacts and decision-makers.

  • Customer Service Excellence: Act as a primary point of contact to ensure a positive customer experience, conduct regular account reviews, check satisfaction levels, and document specific customer needs.

  • Issue Resolution: Determine, resolve, and communicate presales and ongoing account issues to management; coordinate with internal teams to resolve complex customer problems efficiently.

  • Financial Oversight: Monitor account health and partner with customers to bring past-due collection accounts current.

Sales & Product Promotion
  • Sales Objectives: Coordinate daily with supervisors to achieve targeted sales objectives, generate new sales leads, and close sales opportunities.

  • Consultative Selling: Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding services; recommend products based on individual customer needs and interests.

  • Product Expertise: Maintain a high level of product knowledge to provide accurate updates and answer customer inquiries regarding products, prices, availability, uses, and credit terms.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with delivery drivers to effectively sell, cross-sell, and deliver products.

Operational Support, Training & Safety
  • Logistics Support: Assist with the hands-on delivery of products (including batteries) when necessary to ensure seamless customer service.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Train customers on products or processes as needed, and train internal personnel on mastered job processes, techniques, and procedures.

  • Professional Standards: Maintain a professional, neat, organized, and clean work area; ensure facilities, vehicles, tools, and uniforms are kept in excellent condition.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to established safety rules and practices, maintaining an incident-free environment and immediately reporting any safety concerns to a supervisor.

  • Efficiency & Alignment: Plan ahead, prioritize tasks, manage work time effectively, and actively participate in department meetings to continuously improve operational efficiency and departmental performance standards.

  • Corporate Citizenship: Maintain a positive influence and project an image that supports Company values both on and off the job, utilizing sound judgment in non-standard situations.
