Job Description
The Cost Data Researcher will be expected to create reports and spreadsheets based from recommendations provided by physicians, which may include information on billing, cost evaluation depending on a client's geographic area and literature from medical sources. These reports aid our organization by providing statistical data the company can use as a source for determining future medical cost.
Much of the Vendor Specialist's daily activities focus on researching to gather pricing information on medications, durable medical equipment, medical procedures and referencing various resources on medical conditions and implementing the data into a spreadsheet and graphs.
Gathers and examines data to create reports based on specific parameters.
Responsible for researching intricate details of various medical procedures.
Responsible for making calls to vendors for pricing information.
Responsible for regularly auditing data input. These audits may involve studying numbers, organization practices and customer feedback.
Manages data and prepares the reports for Physicians to use in their cost analysis of a life care plan.
Communicating with physicians and other internal specialists.
Understanding and use of proprietary software for the management and analysis of medical data.
Must be detail oriented and proofreads the entire document for consistency in its size, fonts and spacing, as well as grammar.
Ensures the accuracy of any page numbers, charts or photos used in a Life Care Plan before final copy is sent to our client.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Well equipped to handle multiple tasking, answer calls relating to production team matters, take great messages, relay the information to the proper production team member, report back to our clients with a solution/resolution, quality control, uploading and downloading data/information, management of medical records, highly organized individual who keeps logs of everything production team related.
Moderate to advance computer and research skills. Advance knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Composing Professional Emails.
Can effectively communicate with Medical Director, Associate Physicians, Management, Co-Workers, Business Associates, Attorneys and their staff. Purpose for contacts is for the exchange of information and requires tact, courtesy, and professional decorum.
Must possess strong written and verbal skills. (Proper grammar required.)
