Job Description
The Associate Manager leads the restaurant as a member of the management team to plan,
direct and coordinate the operations of the unit while adhering to the Company’s policies and
procedures. The Associate Manager is responsible for the total operations of the restaurant in the
absence of the General Manager and should have a firm understanding of and passion for our
mission statement: “Service, Seafood, and Sentiment for Many Folks” and recognize Wintzell’s
place as one of Mobile’s most famous restaurants.
Essential Functions
The Associate Manager should be eager to work efficiently and professionally in a team-
oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment. Previous restaurant experience
is required. The Associate Manager must
• engage in the creation and furtherance of a positively memorable dining experience,
whenever necessary;
• maintain a constant state of urgency;
• maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment throughout the restaurant;
• meet Wintzell’s uniform and grooming standards and maintain these standards
throughout every shift;
• exercise professional and sensible judgment to make on-the-spot decisions
• support the restaurant’s team members;
• interact with 100% of Wintzell’s guests;
• enforce standards for individual team member performance;
• write weekly schedules;
• be able to pass all required tests and training requirements;
• be able to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights and weekends;
• possess and demonstrate excellent guest service and communication skills;
• address complaints and requests promptly in a courteous manner and notify a manager
of any issues;
• provide service in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints;
• keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual
matters of significance and take prompt corrective action when necessary;
• be able to stand and walk during an entire 12-hour shift, with only a 30-minute, on-
premise only meal break allotted;
• be able to operate P.O.S. computer (Micros), make change correctly and execute credit
card transactions accurately;
• assess staffing needs and interview and recruit team members;
• monitor purchasing, storage, preparation, cooking, handling, and serving of all food
and beverage products to ensure correct recipe, portion, and specification standards
• follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests;
• be able to “card” all guests who appear under the age of 40 for alcohol purchases;
• be able to bend, stoop, reach, wipe, lift and grab;

• read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to safety regulations;
• organize and direct training programs within the restaurant;
• maintain spotlessly clean and safe restaurant at all times;
• ensure highest quality levels of products and hospitality;
• communicate and administer all company policies and procedures;
• acquire and maintain ServSafe Manager certification;
• meet the job’s performance standards as directed by Fried Stewed Nude, Inc.
• adhere to the policies and procedures of Fried Stewed Nude, Inc.
• complete all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Physical Demands
This position requires regular attendance; requires the ability to stand and walk for hours at a
time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop,
lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.; requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature
and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,
depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
