CHANGE MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT
Location: Remote (occasional onsite in Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA)
Start Date: 6/22/2026
Duration: 6+ months Contract
Rate: $65-75/hr.
OVERVIEW
Seeking a Change Management Consultant to support enterprise initiatives by driving adoption, communication, and organizational readiness across multiple projects, primarily within IT transformation environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute change management strategies for enterprise initiatives
  • Assess project impact and define adoption and communication plans
  • Establish and document current-state baselines and track change impact
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and alignment across business units
  • Partner with project managers, sponsors, and functional teams
  • Support user adoption, training, and reinforcement activities
  • Lead communication planning and execution across impacted groups
  • Identify risks and drive change readiness and mitigation strategies
  • Create and maintain change management roadmaps, plans, and deliverables
  • Support initiatives including IT system upgrades, process changes, and operational transformations
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 7+ years of Change Management experience
  • Prosci and/or CCMP certification (required)
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-level change initiatives
  • Strong background supporting IT implementations or system upgrades
  • Experience with stakeholder management and organizational communication
  • Ability to drive adoption, training, and behavioral change
  • Strong project coordination and cross-functional collaboration skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in energy or utilities industry
  • Exposure to organizational transformation and large-scale program delivery
