Job description

Key Account Manager (Technical Manufacturing)

Location: Ramsey, NJ (On-site)

Job Type: Full-time

Sector: Advanced Technical Manufacturing (Aerospace, Defense, & Performance Racing)

Role Overview

Are you a strategic relationship builder who understands the nuances of high-stakes, technical manufacturing? Our client, a global leader in the design and production of high-performance safety and fluid containment systems, is seeking a Key Account Manager to join their team in Ramsey, NJ.

In this role, you aren’t just a salesperson—you are a critical link in the engineering and production lifecycle. You will act as the primary bridge between the company and its most strategically important customers, managing everything from initial technical quotes and margin analysis to long-term forecasting and complex project delivery.

Core Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership Management: Act as the dedicated technical point of contact for key accounts, ensuring requirements are met while aligning customer needs with internal production capacity.

  • Financial & Project Oversight: Manage complex quotations, estimates, and price reviews. You will monitor project scope to ensure healthy margins and prevent "scope creep" during the manufacturing process.

  • Proactive Forecasting: Drive ongoing sales forecasting through consistent, data-driven dialogue with customers to ensure long-term supply chain stability.

  • Technical Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate daily with internal Engineering, Production, and Quality departments to ensure custom projects meet stringent industry standards and deadlines.

  • Market Growth: Identify opportunities for expansion within existing high-value accounts and represent the company at industry-specific networking events and exhibitions.

  • Sustainability Stewardship: Support corporate environmental objectives by identifying ways to reduce waste and energy usage within the account management workflow.

What You Bring to the Team
  • Experience: Proven success as a Sales Account Manager or Account Executive, specifically within a technical manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial environment.

  • Commercial & Technical Acumen: Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into accurate pricing structures and project scopes.

  • Communication Mastery: You can translate complex production schedules and technical constraints into clear, professional updates for the customer.

  • Results-Oriented: A proven track record of meeting sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction in a precision-driven industry.

About Us: Port View Resources provides outsourced recruitment for direct hires as well as providing contract labor to manufacturers and engineering firms.
