Overview

Barco is looking for a Key Account Manager to manage, develop & grow existing and new Healthcare accounts in the Digital Pathology Commercial Labs, CRO's and Pharma companies.  Working with HQ and in the US these accounts have a large National, multinational and some a global footprint.  Developing new business and revenue streams for both product and services within the segment and across geographies will be an essential part of the role.

This role is part of Digital Pathology Segment and will report to the Global Pathology Segment Director.

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding key customer relationships. You play a critical role in achieving revenue objectives and developing the customer base in this unique segment.  We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive professional who can work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales potential and revenue across key accounts.
  • Negotiate and close frame agreements and large purchase orders.
  • Present and discuss Digital Pathology imaging and workflow solutions with confidence.
  • Gain deep insights into key accounts' strategies and business models.
  • Manage accounts strategically and tactically, ensuring long-term success.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Identify and develop new strategic business opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Create and execute key account plans using Barco's proven methodology.
  • Ensure accurate internal reporting and forecasting for financial and logistics planning.
  • Collaborate and influence internal teams to achieve account objectives.
  • Suggest process improvements to optimize customer experience.
  • Acquire and develop new accounts to expand Barco's footprint.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead.

We are looking for a new colleague who

  • 5-10+ years of proven success in sales, account management, and business development in the Healthcare industry.
  • Experience in Pathology or Digital Pathology is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and people skills.
  • Existing connections in Pathology, Large Labs, CROs, Research, or Pharma are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively on a national and global scale.
  • Strong analytical mindset and strategic thinking.
  • Fluent in English.Based in the US, preferably East Coast or Central.
  • Flexible to travel up to 50%.A true team player, able to collaborate effectively across departments.

Essential Functions

  • Office Environment - Job performed in normal office environment including 6-8 hours a day of sitting, computer activities, communication skills, intermittet standing, limited lifting, physical activities or exposure to regular office conditions. 
  • Ability to lift, carry, or position equipment or components (typically up to 50 lbs). 
  • Travel by flight and / car. Ability to conduct on-site customer meetings, product demos or support activities. 
  • Ability to walk, bend, reach, and move between office, lab, areas as needed. 
  • Ability to connect, unplug, handle, or manipulate cables, small parts, or handle equipment. 
  • Regular business hours apply; however, occasional overtime or adjusted work hours may be required. 
  • Work may require approaching or handling prototype units, displays, system components. 
  • Must comply with all environmental, health, safety, and security protocols.
