The DevOps Engineer, is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and resilient DevOps solutions. This role leverages extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines to drive the continuous integration, delivery, and deployment processes to enhance the efficiency and reliability of software delivery.
This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Louisville, KY; Springfield, MO; or Monett, MO.
All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.
What you will be responsible for:
Learn to actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including research, prototyping, detailed design, development, technical documentation, and defect fixing.
Learns to contribute to the technical design and implementation of system deployment automation and configuration management tools.
Learns the developing software in appropriate scripting languages using agile design-build-test methodologies.
Learns to construct, improve, and maintain the automated deployment pipelines.
Collaborates effectively with team members from different disciplines, including developers, operations, and quality assurance and communicates progress, challenges, and solutions in a clear and timely manner.
May perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need to have:
3 year of experience in specialized engineering role, such as previous experience, apprenticeship, internship, or a combination.
Experience with SQL and Datadog.
Working knowledge of PowerShell, Java, NodeJS, Azure DevOps or Jsource.
Will be able to work an on-call rotation for 1 week every 8 weeks.
What would be nice for you to have:
Learns to use professional concepts. Applies knowledge and basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve problems. Determines a course of action based on guidelines. Works on problems of limited scope.
Experience or working knowledge of SQL, PowerShell, Datadog, Azure DevOps, Octopus and fintech.
Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Ability to demonstrate basic skills in the following areas: System deployment automation and system configuration management
Software design and implementation
Analysis and design at multiple-project level
Research, analysis and problem resolution
Communication and interpersonal
Ability to learn to complete deliverables for each phase of the development cycle.
