Location Detail: 6679 Santa Barbara Rd, STE C, Elkridge, MD 21075

Work Hours: Full Time. Standard working hours are Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm. Availability to work weekend & off-hour events is required.

Travel Requirement: Event travel and attendance at staff meetings & training is required. Event travel will include overnight stays for events. As part of the event operations team during the event season which runs from October through April, this role is expected to be available to work 2-3 weekends per month.

Pay Details: $17-19/hour

How You Will Make An Impact

The Warehouse Associate is an important member of our Varsity All Star team, ultimately responsible for performing various warehouse activities as well as receive, input, sort, load, and unload products. Tasks include box preparation, manage tape machine operation and flow, organizing stock, maintain inventory, picking orders with an RF Gun, and counting. May include driving an order picker or walking, pack, and ship orders.

Warehouse Associate should be extremely organized, able to multi-task, and project oriented. This person is responsible for making sure all inventory is accounted for accurately and placed in the most efficient locations for the Distribution Center's flow.

The Warehouse Associate will represent Varsity Brands by demonstration of company core values in driving the highest ethical standards of conduct in all business activities.

What You Will Do

  • Organize equipment and stock pre and post event to ensure items are placed where they need to be throughout the warehouse space.
  • Maintain inventory in an organized and accurate manner.
  • Receiving, picking, sorting, and labeling orders.
  • Pack, fold, and arrange garments.
  • Scanning shipping orders, and inputting into inventory system.
  • Research and correct displaced, mislabeled, and missing products, perform replenishments, cycle counts, stock checks, and resolve inventory and order discrepancies.
  • Assist and work closely with the warehouse manager.
  • Assist Logistics Coordinators with inventory, transportation and supply chain processes.
  • Assist Event Coordinators with the organization of event details.
  • Assist Event Planners as they work with Event Coordinators.
  • Assist Production Coordinators with event preparation and equipment management.
  • Assist Registration with customer service and data entry.
  • Assist and/or lead Set up and Breakdown at events.
  • Maintain mats for events, whether camps or competitions.
  • Transportation of mats to events, whether camps or competitions.
  • Ability to safely operate a company-provided truck to transport and deliver mats and other equipment to events.

Experience / Education

  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of drop box, Virtual DJ, sound and lighting a plus.
  • Experience with cheer and dance events preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This job is operated in a professional office, warehouse, and event environment.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. Repetitive movement of the body is required on a regular basis. The position requires lifting of no less than 15-50 lbs. on a regular basis from floor to waist and must be able to climb a ladder occasionally. Finger and hand dexterity and ability to read text on a screen. Must be able to tolerate working in a non-climate-controlled environment.

During events, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (five hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message, and email is required. The ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and manipulate equipment that is a minimum of 50 lbs. is required.
