Job description

Eaton's Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer focused on Capacity & Time Study to join our team. This is a remote based position with expected travel of 75%. All candidates must currently reside within 100 miles of Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, Greenville, SC, Spartanburg, SC or El Paso, TX to be considered.
The Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer will support manufacturing operations through cycle time data collection, analysis, and capacity modeling. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers to gain hands-on experience on the shop floor while contributing directly to productivity improvements and operational planning.
The selected candidates will work closely with manufacturing, operations, and engineering teams to establish accurate labor standards and production capacity models.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year.

What you'll do:
• Conduct time studies and cycle time observations across manufacturing processes.
• Record and validate manual and automated process times using standard industrial engineering methods.
• Analyze collected data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and variability.
• Support development of standard work and labor benchmarks.
• Assist in building and maintaining capacity models.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure data accuracy and process consistency.
• Prepare reports and visualizations summarizing findings and recommendations while providing status updates.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related technical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing operations experience, inclusive of internships and/or co-ops.
• Experience in creating standard work including "value added" / "non-value added" cycle time collection/analysis and operator balancing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.
• No relocation is being offered for this role. This position can be based remotely as long as you live within 100 miles of Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, Greenville, SC, Spartanburg, SC or El Paso, TX. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (3) years post-degree professional experience in a technical role supporting manufacturing processes or other related engineering functions.
• Experience with manufacturing process data analytics.
• Previous Lean and/or Six Sigma certification, with demonstrated results.
• Experienced communication and presentation skills - Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization from production associates to corporate leaders.
