A respected and client-focused family and personal injury law firm in Palmetto Florida is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join its thriving practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about helping clients navigate some of life's most important transitions while building a successful long-term career in family law.

The ideal candidate will have 1–5 years of legal experience, including at least one year practicing family law. While the firm would ideally like someone with 4–5 years of experience, they are open to considering talented attorneys earlier in their careers who demonstrate strong legal skills, professionalism, and a genuine interest in family law.

This position offers direct client interaction, meaningful courtroom experience, mentorship from experienced attorneys, and the opportunity to manage cases from intake through resolution.

What You'll Do
  • Represent clients in a variety of family law matters, including:
    • Divorce and legal separation
    • Child custody and parenting plans
    • Child support and alimony
    • Equitable distribution of assets and debts
    • Modifications and enforcement actions
    • Domestic violence and injunction proceedings
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances
  • Communicate regularly with clients and provide compassionate, solution-oriented guidance
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure exceptional client service
  • Manage deadlines and maintain organized case files
What We're Looking For
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • 1–5 years of legal experience, including at least 1 year practicing family law
  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
  • Experience handling family law hearings, mediations, and client communications preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow within the practice
