Job description

Burstyn Law is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in a hands-on role handling complex, high-stakes business litigation across state and federal courts, predominantly in Miami and also in New York. Associates at our boutique are fully involved in strategic planning, argue at hearings, take depositions, meet with clients, and have fun while doing it. Responsibilities

ยท Develop and execute litigation strategy in coordination with the team at every phase of a matter

ยท Draft pleadings, dispositive and discovery motions, briefs, and other substantive filings, and argue motions before the court

ยท Conduct and defend fact witness and expert depositions, manage and litigate discovery disputes

ยท Counsel clients and serve as a point of contact throughout the litigation lifecycle


Qualifications

ยท Admitted and in good standing with The Florida Bar

ยท 2-8 years of complex commercial or business litigation experience

ยท Demonstrated drafting, legal research, and oral advocacy skills

ยท Proficiency with document review platforms, such as Relativity

ยท Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills

ยท Works well both independently and collaboratively within a close-knit team
