Job description

As the Associate Team Relations Specialist, you support team members, leaders and the company as a whole, assisting with team member professional and personal concerns and assisting leaders through HR situations. The Associate Team Relations Specialist manages administrative tasks for supported team members, such as managing HR documentation and covering for senior team members as needed.

About therole

  • Partner with one - three Team Relations Specialists in supporting an average of 500+ team members

  • Assist with conducting the orientation program, coordinating community relations volunteer events and planning engagement activities for the team

  • Assist with all behind-the-scenes administrative tasks in support of Team Relations Specialists, including handling and saving performance management documentation and managing the Team Relations Specialist tracking mailbox

  • Conduct stay and exit interviews and identify trends with the Team Relations Specialist and/or leadership

  • Draft written disciplinary action requests such as opportunity letters, separation requests and letters

  • Provide support and/or help facilitate team member engagement meetings such as office hours, town halls, stay interviews, etc.

  • Manage, track and complete unemployment claims, including representing the organization in unemployment hearings as needed

  • Answer team member and leader questions regarding Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), etc. and act independently to move team members forward in the appropriate process as needed

  • Support Team Relations Specialists in conducting internal team member investigations typically by taking notes and asking questions

  • Represent Team Relations in separation meetings as needed

  • Act as an out of office cover for Team Relations Specialists as needed

  • Act as a Team Relations Specialist in covering business headcount for temporary period of time as needed

  • Professional certification in HR, such as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification
