WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE (INDIANAPOLIS,IN)

THE DIFFERENCE YOU WILL MAKE
The Indianapolis Warehouse Associate reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for various tasks involved in the storage, organization, and distribution of goods within a warehouse setting. This role typically involves receiving, unpacking, labeling, storing, and picking items according to orders. Warehouse associates may also be involved in inventory management, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and occasionally operating machinery such as forklifts or pallet jacks. CORE FUNCTIONS OF THIS ROLE
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, reach truck to pull and prepare outbound customer orders
  • Build, wrap, sort, pick, pack, and stage customer orders
  • Load outbound delivery trucks and will calls
  • Consolidate product to maximize space utilization
  • Repackage and/or relabel products due to damages/vendor errors and returns
  • Stock received merchandise and/or movement of stock items
  • Clean the workspace as you for and participate with the team in keeping the facility clean, safe and accident free
  • Answer phone calls and follow-up on orders, shortages and/or mistakes.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skill
  • Attention to detail, organization and project management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven ability to read and interpret printed orders and direction
  • Demonstrated record of safety and quality control
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
  • Regularly exhibits a strong work ethic and high degree of self-motivation
  • Perform duties under minimal direction
  • High sense of urgency and be able to multi-task competing priorities
  • Excellent attendance record.
  • Must have proficient math skills
  • Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check
  • Ensure compliance with safety and company procedures, and actively embody our core values in every interaction and responsibility. (Include in all JD’s)
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Minimum 1+ years’ warehouse experience, preferably in shipping and receiving
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience with Forklifts
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience with Pallet Jacks
  • Minimum 1+ years’ experience with Reach Trucks
