Overview We're seeking a Freelance Associate Fashion Designer to support the development of stylish, wearable collections from concept through execution. This role is ideal for a hands-on designer who thrives in a fast-paced, trend-driven, e-commerce-focused environment and has a strong eye for design, fit, and construction. Responsibilities Research seasonal trends and translate them into fresh, brand-right designs Create digital and hand sketches, technical flats, and detailed tech packs Support style development from concept through final sample approval Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and overseas vendors to ensure design intent and product quality Participate in fittings, provide fit and construction feedback, and document revisions Assist with fabric, trim, closure, and finish selection Occasionally develop custom CADs or prints Organize and manage incoming samples, specs, and fit notes Support technical design updates including garment specs and construction details Ensure collections are visually strong, commercially viable, and optimized for digital presentation Maintain brand consistency while supporting innovation in design and construction Categories Include You don't have to have experience in all categories Wedding / Evening Wear (Intricate Dress Design) Qualifications 5+ years of fashion design experience, ideally within an e-commerce or digital-first brand Degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or related field (or equivalent experience) Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Experience with CAD software and PLM systems is a plus Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabric properties Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines Detail-oriented with strong color sense, style, and commercial awareness Adaptable, proactive, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
