Job Description

An Associate Equipment Engineer is an individual contributor responsible for applying knowledge of engineering, electro-mechanical systems, mathematics, software, and computer sciences to identify, analyze, and resolve manufacturing equipment issues in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Line Maintenance and Process Engineering in troubleshooting problems & supporting wafer manufacturing.
  • Working with vendors to install and learn new semiconductor equipment.
  • Support of Production Equipment to improve throughput and reduce downtime including procurement, installation, upgrades, design modifications, troubleshooting failures, reducing operating costs.
  • Conduct equipment failure analysis and review trends to make performance improvements.
  • Troubleshooting and repair assigned equipment using troubleshooting techniques and hand tools.
  • Regularly interfaces with Supervisor, Production, Engineering, and other work groups for priorities and equipment status.
  • Attention to detail in documenting and other relevant tasks. 
  • Provide support to resolve unscheduled events and ensure escalation process efficiency.
  • Researches and adheres to all safety and cleanroom policies. 
  • Train maintenance technicians as needed on systems to improve 24x7 response time.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent education with 0-3 years exp. 
  • Must have the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Ability to create and maintain operating and training documents and manuals.
  • Strong communications skills with various audiences from vendors to fellow engineers to operators.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft applications-Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in pneumatics, hydraulic, cooling systems/refrigeration.
  • Electronic troubleshooting vacuum pumps, chambers, and plumbing gauging.
Additional Information
  • This role will work on site in Roseville, CA.
  • This position works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary.
  • Indefinite US work authorized individuals only.  Future sponsorship for work authorization unavailable.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position varies considerably depending upon qualifications. The base salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. Your Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
