Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Lead Piping Designer to join our Baton Rouge team.
Position Type: FT
Location: Baton Rouge office
Work Environment: Office/Sedentary
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required
Responsibilities include:
  • Constructability, operability, and maintainability of the project design.
  • Carryout site surveys, gathering information per job scope with or without client, walking down P&ID's and recognizing tie points, field routing piping.
  • Working with Lead Engineers/PM's and Multi Disciplines to complete project deliverables.
  • Development of design configurations associated with the various systems that apply.
  • Providing comprehensive, efficient, and cost effective technical input into design.
  • Preparation of detailed design drawings, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.
  • Maintaining a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during project design.
  • Review of drawings for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards.
  • Able to check other designers and drafters work before being sent out to the client.
  • Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 15+ years working experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and CADWorx
  • Field experience, able to walk down project per the client scope.
  • Strong Written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate
  • Attention to detail

Preferred:
  • Associates degree in CAD
  • CADWorx experience
  • Plant 3D experience
